The Fall Of The Therollian Empire

The age of the fall of The Therollian Empire.
The Empire did not fall in a night. It was violent, but it was also slow – it was a destruction that echoed back and forth multiple times across the whole galaxy before it was done.
The fall had been building for quite some time – the ruling Therollians becoming less and less interested in the petty business of ruling an empire, turning more and more power over to their eldritch puppets to handle the day to day affairs. Like an avalanche building from individual snowflakes, it was not until the moment of collapse that the danger was truly realized.
The fall itself took time. The first one – two – hundred uppity servitors were put down and forgotten. It wasn’t until there was such a wave, and a powerful enough backing force, that it became an issue, and even then the Therollians were ancient, and decadent, and slow in their ennui – but it did not take them long to remember what it was to fight back.
It was a dark age. Chaos, and destruction reigned. The Therollians were wicked, but so to were their defeaters – the beasts of darkness and hate they had leashed for so long were not kind, and unshackled from the Therollian magycks they were terribly strong.
It sort of sucked for everyone involved.
